Usability is all about making the things we use everyday work better.

Different managed the marketing for WUD 2006, which celebrates usability internationally once a year. I was responsible for conceptualising the advertising and branding while working at Different.

The advertising built an appreciation for usability while promoting the event itself. Along with the line 'You notice usability when it's missing', elements were visually removed from common everyday items rendering them unusable.

Campaign posters were translated into numerous languages and run in 40 countries around the world across 200 events.

Other work included interface design for user forums, as well as site functionality that incorporated Google maps, webcasts of the events, and the ability for organisers to create and maintain their events online.
